NACo Prescription Discount Card Program
The County of Imperial is excited to announce the introduction of the NACo Prescription Discount Card Program to help residents cope with the high price of prescriptions. The County has signed a contract with CVS Caremark to make free prescription discount cards available under a program sponsored by the National Association of counties (NACo). On average, this program offers savings of 22% off the retail price of commonly prescribed drugs.
The prescription discount cards will be available for use beginning June 8, 2010. These cards may be used by all county residents, regardless of age, income, or existing health coverage. To participate in this program, you need to obtain a discount card from any of our distribution locations or print a card and present it at a participating pharmacy. There is no registration required and no need to release any personal information.
If you are a service provider and would like to have informational material and/or prescription discount cards made available for your customers, please review and complete the service provider informational letter and submit the request to our office.
