|Imperial County Weather Synopsis|
Sunny skies, light winds, and temperatures in the mid 80s will be in place for the next day or two.
SYNOPSIS FROM THE SAN DIEGO OFFICE
High pressure aloft will remain anchored off the California coast though Friday. A weak and fast-moving low pressure system will move southeastward through the Great Basin tonight and early Tuesday. Fair and dry weather with above average temperatures will be the norm through Friday. A shallow marine layer and weak coastal eddy will bring areas of low clouds and dense fog near the coast early this morning with the low clouds and lowest visibilities a little farther inland for tonight into Tuesday morning. Weak offshore flow will bring periods of gusty northeast to east winds near the coastal foothills and below passes and canyons for Wednesday into Thursday. Onshore flow will return and strengthen for Friday through next weekend with coastal cooling spreading inland and with more night and morning coastal low clouds and fog.
SYNOPSIS FROM THE PHOENIX OFFICE
Although a short wave low will pass to the north of our area over the Great Basin, it should not dip south far enough to impact our weather. Expect well above normal temperatures will continue through Friday. Anticipate locally breezy conditions on Wednesday and Thursday. Over the weekend, a weather disturbance will bring cooler temperatures and locally breezy conditions. Rain chances will be slight at best and limited to the higher terrain of south-central Arizona Sunday.
