Mission Statement

 

The County Clerk/Recorderís mission shall be to maintain and preserve the publicís records in a secure and accessible environment with the highest degree of professionalism. Our staff shall provide for customers needs by providing high quality service with courtesy in a timely and efficient manner. We shall strive to provide such service at the least possible cost to the public.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS


CLERK

The County Clerk Division issues marriage licenses, fictitious business name filings; notary public oaths and bonds; registers process servers, unlawful detainer assistants and legal document assistant registration; administers humane and deputy county officer appointments and oaths; certifies Foreign Translation documents. The County Clerk also files Fish & Game Environmental Documents; and affidavits of publications

RECORDER

The recorderís Office is responsible for the recording of deeds, mortgages, decrees of court, and leases affecting title to real property in the county. This office also maintains Uniform Commercial Code filings, subdivision maps, and vital statistics, including births, deaths, and marriages within the county.
