Please be advised that the Worthington (Imperial) Solid Waste Site and the Hot Spa Solid Waste Sites have both reached their permitted limits for capacity. Imperial County Department of Public Works plans the establishment of a low volume transfer station for the Imperial Solid Waste Site. The transfer station would establish new hours to concur with the operational hours of the Calexico Solid Waste Site. The Imperial Transfer Station will be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. As the transfer station will be a low volume notification tier facility, it will be restricted to municipal solid waste only which will not include "green waste" Construction & Demolition, inert, nor any commercial waste. The site will also notify residents that once the capacity of 15 tons per day has been reached, the transfer station will close its doors and not accept any waste until the next operational day.

Imperial County Department of Public Works plans the establishment of a low volume transfer station for the Hot Spa Solid Waste Site. The transfer station would establish new hours to concur with the operational hours of the Niland Solid Waste Site. The Hot Spa Transfer Station will be open on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The site will also notify residents that once the capacity of 15 tons per day has been reached, the transfer station will close its doors and not accept any waste until the next operational day.
