Imperial County November General Election Update - November 8

Imperial County November General Election Update - November 8

On November 9, 2018, the Imperial County Registrar of Voters will issue another "Unofficial Election Results" update on the Registrar's website at www.co.imperial.ca.us/regvoters for the November 6, 2018 Primary Election. The unofficial update includes all polling place voters and some vote-by-mail ballots. This is not a final tally of all ballots.

Since the Registrar's office is required to continue receiving vote-by mail ballots from other counties or that were placed in the mail by Tuesday, November 6, 2018, the number of unprocessed ballots has increased. As of November 8, 2018, there are approximately 12,700 unprocessed ballots. Included in this figure are 9,560 vote-by mail ballots, 3,074 provisional and 69 conditional voter registration provisional ballots. Furthermore, the Registrar's office anticipates receiving additional ballots.

The Registrar's office plans to release "Unofficial Results" updates regularly until all vote-by mail ballots are counted. Additionally, provisional ballots may not be counted until all voter rosters are reviewed and voter's history is applied to voter's record.

The Registrar's staff will continue to work diligently to complete the election canvassing process and update the public of results in a timely manner. The Registrar's office wishes to thank the public for their patience as they continue to conduct canvassing for this election.
