NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD for the County of Imperial Abbreviated Plan for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program
El Centro, CA (March 4, 2016) - The County of Imperial was awarded a Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP3) allocation of $1,708,780 from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to be used to mitigate the negative impact of the County's economic decline and housing market collapse and to stabilize and revitalize those communities/areas that have been hit the hardest. Through this Abbreviated Plan process, the County plans to add specific concentrated areas in the cities of Holtville, and El Centro, to its designated target area. In addition, the County intends to increase the maximum sales price of eligible properties to $225,000 and the maximum NSP3 investment per unit to $210,000.
