Notice of Preparation of a Programmatic Environmental Impact Report (PEIR)
The Imperial County Air Pollution Control District (the District) is the Lead Agency and has prepared an Initial Study for the adoption of proposed Rule 214.2 - Paving Unpaved Public Roads Emission Reduction Credits (PERCs), which is identified below. We solicit the views of agencies, interested organizations, and the general public as to the scope and content of the environmental information. We further request agency comments germane to such agency's statutory responsibilities in connection with the proposed adoption of proposed Rule 214.2. Agencies may need to use the information contained in the Initial Study prepared by our agency when considering such agency's permits or other approvals for projects specifying intent to utilize proposed Rule 214.2 to generate PERCs.
The project description, location, and the potential environmental impacts are contained in the Initial Study which is available in hard copy at the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District Office located at 150 S. 9th Street, El Centro, CA 92243.
Responses must be postmarked no later July 5, 2016
