Jesus “Jack” Terrazas  was elected to the Imperial County Board of Supervisors in June 2008. Recently, he was re-elected for another term. He serves as the County Board representative on the Imperial County Employees Retirement System and his additional assignments include LAFCO alternate, Imperial County Transportation Committee, L.T.A, SAFE and CSAC alternate. In the second district, Terrazas represents the communities of El Centro, Heber and Ocotillo.

Prior to his being elected as Supervisor, Terrazas served for three terms as an El Centro City Council member, having been appointed Mayor three times. In addition, he served as a Board Member of the El Centro Regional medical Center for eleven years.

Terrazas graduated from San Diego State University, Imperial Valley Campus and is a licensed Life, Health, and Fire and Casualty Insurance Broker. Supervisor Terrazas has four grown children, Monica, Joaquin, Michelle and Rebecca; 7 grandchildren, Pablo, Angelica, Tristian, Leilani, Zoe, Mia and Emmy, including 3 great-grandchildren. Supervisor Terrazas resides in El Centro with his wife of over forty years, Frances.
