Flood Mitigation Plan

Flood Mitigation Plan
Imperial County Office of Emergency Services is sponsoring the developing of a Countywide Flood Mitigation Plan to identify areas of repetitive flooding, assemble County resources in addressing potential flooding hazards, identify potential mitigation measures, and to possibly obtain reduction in flood insurance premiums under the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program's Community Rating System (CRS).

Interested citizens can become part of this important planning process by reviewing the draft Flood Mitigation Plan .  Local citizens are encouraged to participate in the process by providing information concerning local flooding problems.  The County needs the experience, knowledge, and suggestions of the local citizens to efficiently address flooding problems in the future.  Please recognize that this draft is still being revised and fined-tuned by plan participants.  If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact Rosa Hernandez, Deputy Coordinator, Imperial County Office of Emergency Services at (760) 482-2400 or rosahernandez@imperialcounty.net.
