|Imperial County Weather Synopsis|
Clear and sunny but moderately cool skies are in store today. Southwest winds will be light over much of the county. Temperatures will reach only into the low 70s but will become warmer on Friday.
SYNOPSIS FROM THE SAN DIEGO OFFICE
After patchy morning clouds it will be fair and cool again today. Another cold low pressure trough will move through the State Friday and Saturday with rain and mountain snow developing over the San Bernardino Mountains early Friday. Scattered, mostly light showers will spread farther south over the coastal basin through the day. Gusty southwest winds and locally heavy snowfall may create hazardous winter weather conditions on the higher peaks in San Bernardino County. Windy conditions will overspread all mountains and desert areas by late Friday. Scattered showers will end Saturday night with fair and warmer weather on tap early next week.
SYNOPSIS FROM THE PHOENIX OFFICE
The low pressure trough that moved through the region yesterday is now completely east of the region. Temperatures will definitely be on the upswing starting today as the air mass recovers some after the trough passage yesterday. We may see a few of the warmer deserts top 70 today, but most will end up in the upper 60s. Further warming will occur into Friday. After a chilly start to the day today, temperatures will trend upward heading into the weekend. Over the weekend, a weather system passing mostly to the north will lead to somewhat cooler temperatures and breezy conditions though only a slight chance of showers. Much warmer conditions return next week.
