|High wind levels have the potential to suspend particulate matter into the air. High levels of PM10 may pose an impact to public health. It is recommended that active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, limit their outdoor activities.
Potential increases in PM10 concentrations may increase to moderate or unhealthy level.
|Imperial County Weather Synopsis|
Chance of precipitation today for Imperial County is 30 percent, with a 40 percent chance in the southwest corner of the county. It will be breezy across the county, with west winds 10 to 25 mph, reaching 30 mph in the southwest portion of the county. Gusts could reach 40 mph. Skies should clear on Wednesday with a slight warm up.
SYNOPSIS FROM THE SAN DIEGO OFFICE
A winter storm will move through Southern California today with numerous showers and a small chance of thunderstorms. Snow will pile up in the mountains and even the foothills and high desert. The storm will move out tonight with dry but cool weather expected Wednesday. On Thursday a new storm will bring rain, mountain snow and some winds late Thursday into Friday, with showers possible through Saturday. Fair weather appears next week with a modest warming trend.
SYNOPSIS FROM THE PHOENIX OFFICE
A quick moving weather system will move through the region today into early Wednesday bringing widespread light rainfall to southern Arizona, but only isolated showers to southeast California. A temporary cool down through Wednesday will turn warmer late this week as high pressure and drier air moves back into the region resulting in near normal temperatures through the weekend.
