the West. That will bring brisk, cool weather next week and a slight chance of showers Monday.

More widespread and substantial rain is likely for south-central and eastern Arizona this evening and overnight tonight. Lingering rain chances will affect areas mainly east of Phoenix for Thursday and Friday. A warm up is expected this weekend followed by another potential weather system for early next week.
