High wind levels have the potential to suspend particulate matter into the air. High levels of PM10 may pose an impact to public health. It is recommended that active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, limit their outdoor activities.

Potential increases in PM10 concentrations may increase to moderate or unhealthy level.

Imperial County Weather Synopsis
WINDY WEATHER
WESTERN AND NORTHERN SECTION OF IMPERIAL COUNTY
Areas of northeast surface winds 23 to 34 mph and gusts 46 to 57 mph through this afternoon.

CENTRAL AND EASTERN SECTION OF IMPERIAL COUNTY
Gusty winds as a cold front moves through the region. Winds will decrease by this afternoon. Weaker winds through early next week.

RED FLAG WARNING
Strongest northeast winds 20-30 mph with gusts to 50 mph and isolated gusts to 60 mph today along the San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange County coastal mountain slopes as well as through and below passes.

Relative humidity 10-15 percent combined with gusty winds create ideal conditions for critical fire weather.

SYNOPSIS FROM THE SAN DIEGO OFFICE
A moderate Santa Ana wind will prevail today across San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange Counties. It will be cold tonight with patchy frost in the inland valley and lower deserts Friday morning. Dry weather and a warming trend will occur Saturday through Monday followed by a cooling trend.

SYNOPSIS FROM THE PHOENIX OFFICE
A dry cold front is moving across the region this morning, resulting in breezy conditions across southeast California and much cooler temperature area-wide. Below-normal temperatures will persist through Friday, before a gradual warming trend occurs in to the weekend as high pressure builds over the Pacific Coast.
