Hot weather will continue through the weekend and into next week with nearly stationary high pressure over the Southwest. Low clouds and fog are possible along the coast at times. Monsoon flow will bring a small chance of thunderstorms mainly over the mountains each day.
SYNOPSIS FROM THE PHOENIX OFFICE
Above normal temperatures will continue this week as strong high pressure remains firmly entrenched over the interior West. Thunderstorm chances will remain limited across lower desert communities through the rest of the week with activity focused mainly over mountain areas. However, areas of strong gusty Thunderstorm outflows are possible each afternoon and evening over the south-central Arizona deserts. The potential for cooler temperatures and increasing moisture improves across the region by the weekend.
