|The California Air Resources Board (CARB) Air Quality Training Program invites you to participate in Asbestos Demolitions and Renovations for Contractors Course on December 5, 2017, at the Imperial County Department of Social Services Building in El Centro, CA.|
The course (FP109) emphasizes the requirements of the Asbestos National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). Topics include notification and work practice requirements, types of asbestos regulated under the NESHAP, what is a "regulated facility"; including residences, waste shipping and disposal requirements. Regulators will be available to respond to questions, including the impact of an Asbestos NESHAP violation. Presenters consist of representatives of the Environmental Information Association/The Asbestos Institute, the California Air Resources Board, and a subject matter expert.
